How To Edit Dark Vogue in Lightroom

Step 1: Settings for light adjustments of the photo

Let's start with light option in the edit tab of Lightroom which includes base lighting and tonal curve of the photo. Move your slider carefully and according to settings given below or else you can also take reference from picture attached below.

Exposure: -0.42 (to give your photos that dark tone)
Contrast: +37 (colors will look bit punchy)
Highlights: -67 (to mute the skin color tone)
Shadows: +53
Whites: -77 (whites to be decreased to achieve that vogue look)
Blacks: +41 (to make your subject stand out from the background)

Now Let's move to most important part of photo editing which is tonal curve adjustment (know more about tonal curve).

You can take reference from the picture attached below there's curve settings.



Step 2: Settings for color adjustments

Now let's move to the interesting part of photo editing which is adjusting color of the photo. Here you can adjust temperature, tint, saturation, you color grade and also you can mix color of your photo. For dark vogue look i have given the settings below. 

Move to color option in the edit section and change these setting using the slider.

Temperature: +4 (to give warmer tone to your photo)
Tint: -18 (to give that yellowish brown look)
Vibrance: 0
Saturation: 0


In the photo to get that dark vogue look color grading and color mix are important aspects so now go to color grading part which includes shadows, mid tones, highlights and global.

Color Grading Settings:

In shadows section:
Hue: 67
Saturation: 4
Blending: +100
Balance: -44

In highlights section:
Hue: 37
Saturation: 7

Color mix settings:

Red
Hue: +19
Saturation: -17
Luminance: -9

Orange
Hue: -12
Saturation: +13
Luminance: +7

Step 3: Settings for Effects of your photo

Now move to Effects option in the edit section, by using this settings given below i will make your photo look crisp and high quality. This includes texture, clarity, vignette and grain. 

Texture: -6 (it will look smoother and softer)
Clarity: -7 (this will give matte look)
Dehaze: +17


Step 4: Settings for Details

Sharpening Includes:
Amount: +15
Radius: +1.00
Detail: +25

Color Noise
Color Noise Reduction: +25
Detail: +50
Smoothness: +50


Optional Step 5: Optics

Turn on or Enable lens corrections to give the final touch to your photos but if you don't want you can skip this step.

For Mobile (DNG) : 
  • Open Lightroom Mobile App.
  • Then add your respective Lightroom preset (DNG File) by clicking add photos button (on bottom right corner).
  • After you have added the Preset, Then open the same DNG File In Lightroom Mobile App, Then tap on three dots present on the top right corner of your screen & now click "Copy Settings" and then open your photo (In Lightroom Mobile App) That you want to apply preset. Now again tap on three dots present on the top right corner of your screen & now tap "Paste Settings".
For Desktop (XMP) :
  • Open Adobe Lightroom on your Laptop/PC.
  • Then you will find (PRESETS) section with (+) symbol, tap that (+) and then "IMPORT PRESETS".
It's important to note that you will need to have the Lightroom software/app in order to use these presets.
